About the PWCP Funding
PWCP provides financial support, through OFCAF, to farmers in Manitoba to accelerate their adoption and implementation of on-farm BMPs to reduce GHG emissions, support production efficiency, sustainability and resiliency on their farm operations. To assist farmers with their adoption of new BMPs, the program offers farmers resources to support BMP implementation and provide BMP design recommendations.

Regenerative Agriculture Application (PWCP)
Enhance and restore soils in agricultural fields! |
Funding Objectives
To encourage the enhancement and restoration of soils in agricultural fields through regenerative agricultural practices. Proposed practice(s) should focus on some/all of the following objectives: increase carbon sequestration, improve soil health, increase water storage capacity, reduce flooding, increase biodiversity, and reduce soil erosion. The EIWD will cooperate with willing landowners, partners, and the Watershed Sub-District/GROW committee to select the most suitable sites that achieve the greatest overall watershed benefits.
Eligibility

Eligibility
- Applicants must own/Lease land within the East Interlake Watershed District
- If you are unsure, use our "Project Locating" tool under "Mapping"
- All activities must have commenced on or after February 1, 2025 and be completed on or before June 30, 2026.
- All invoices must be dated after February 1, 2025, and before March 31, 2026 (including those dates).
- Ultimate recipients must contribute at least 15% of the total project cost as an in-kind contribution to the project.
How Our Process Works
Step 1Fill out and submit an Regenerative Agriculture (PWCP) application. |
Step 2Work with EIWD staff to further develop ideas, design (if needed), budget, and funding request (%). |
Step 3EIWD staff will create a project proposal and present it to the Executive Board in a Conservation Auction. |
Step 4Wait to receive official approval, declination, or suggested amendments from the Executive Board. |
Step 5If approved, sign and submit the Funding Agreement, and commence project. |
Step 6Submit Claim Form and all supporting documents to receive funding as a rebate. |
